Back to KL... Back to Work

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Btw, I am back in KL na and back to work na ulit... Wala na ulit mga kalaro si Kylie. Although nagkasakit kaming 3 sa pinas (Kylie, Jay-ar and Me), ayus lang kasi super enjoy! :)

Quickie One

I was inspired to do a quick post while reading new updates from lui's blog. So here I am doing a quick one at work.

I am working again. Yes, same company (HP), different project, different teammates, different location, different client but same boss. I started working again last Aug 16 and so far so good. My office location is about 5-10 mins by taxi from my place. So far, this project is not as hectic as my last project in another client and I really really really hope that it will stay that way.

Kylie is now 3.5 months and she's getting cuter and lovelier each day. I am glad I have a baby now. It really changed a real good deal of things in my life and these changes made me a better me. I am now more inspired in doing things and seeing her smile literally takes away all the negative things around me. She's a real angel.

Next Sunday will be Kylie's baptismal here in KL. We initially planned to have her baptized in the Philippines when we go home this coming December but she will be 8 months by then. Since in our norm (Catholics), the younger the child is, the better, we have decided to have her baptized here then another one in December in PH with our friends and families. There will just be a small get together in our place after her baptismal here in KL to have a small celebration.

Well, I guess that's it so far.. Nothing much is happening. And btw, I am now on facebook... Hehehe! I’d like to play some of the apps there like FarmVille or MafiaWars but I’m afraid to get addicted and will have no time for Kylie so I dare not to try it. So I just use FB to connect with friends and share pics. Hehehe!

Ta-ta for now!

Updates! Updates!

Last weekend was PC fair here in KL. So Jay-ar & I decided to go to buy a printer at para maigala na din namin ang mom nya. The PC fair was in KLCC and as usual, even though it was raining hard, ang dami dami pa ding tao shopping for gadgets.

Anyway, ang pinamimilian naming bilin ni Jay-ar na printer is either HP brand or Canon. Syempre nde naman kami masyado gagastos sa printer so ang balak lang namin bilin is yung cheapest na 3-in-1 (photo copier, scanner & printer). At first, syempre biased ako sa HP kasi I was working with HP and yung printer namin sa bahay sa Pinas is 3-in-1 na HP. But Jay-ar called his friend and asked him to check from the internet the reviews of the 2 printers which is better and he told us na mas maganda daw ang review sa Canon so we decided to buy Canon instead. Sa Canon ang freebies ay hand towel, face towel and laptop bag, which is for me, more usable in our case. Meron pang isang freebie sa Canon na gustong gusto namin, which is yung trolley pero free lang yun kapag yung mejo mas mahal na printer (with fax) yung bibilin namin. Eh wala naman kaming phone line sa condo so sayang ang fax machine so pinilit na lang namin nag titinda na instead na yung towels and bag and freebies namin, exhange na lang namin sa trolley. Ayaw pumayag kasi bilang lang daw yun at each item daw may designated na freebies. Asar.

Anyway, back to story... So inabot nya sakin yung freebies then aalis na kong luhaan. Hehehe!

Last Saturday, I had a check up with my OB. Good news and bad news. Good news is that my baby is already full term and pwede na sya lumabas anytime! Bad news is that the head of my baby is still not engaged with my pelvis.

Hehehe! Gs2 na tlaga kong pa-anakin. So we have no choice but to wait, wait, and wait. I dunno if that will help pero walking is good naman tlaga para sa mga buntis.

As I have been mentioning above, andito na ang mom ni Jay-ar. She arrived here in Malaysia last April 1 and will be staying here to help us take care of the baby for 3 months. We already went to Orchid Garden, Ikea, KLCC, Petronas, Bukit Bintang and malls like Midvalley Megamall, Pavilion, Suria and of course sa the mall (which is tapat lang ng condo namin). Hehehe! We are still planning to go to Bird Park, KL Tower, Petronas bridge, Acquaria, Genting, Butterfly park and more mall tours. Hehehe! Hehehe!

Eto pala (so far) ang mga pics ng gala namin with Jay-ar's mom. Click here.

Learn to accept the things that you cannot change - this is what I am trying to do (so hard) right now. In God's help, I can do this.

* * * * *

Just another thought, babae nga tlaga siguro ang baby ko, kasi masyado ko in love kay Jay-ar nowadays. Hehehe! Para kong nag lilihi all over again. And sometimes, it really surprises me on what one can do in the name of love. Figure that out. Hehehe! Ciao!

A Life of Another Bummer Begins

One week to go and I have already gone thru the first month of my life as a bummer. Will be waiting for another month to expire and my mom-in-law will be joining the bummer club here in Malaysia. I have been looking forward to this actually, at least I have someone with me staying at home and there will be someone I can talk to. Unlike now, I am starting to get used to talking to myself and to the baby inside me. Then April comes and things will be starting to get so exciting. Jay-ar and I are going to be filled with anticipation coz April is my due month. When this little angel comes out from me, I guess nothing will be the same again. I will see life in a different perspective as a new chapter of Mitsikoy’s book starts.

Things are not as boring as it seems around here. I have been busy lately going back and forth to Philippine Embassy to run some errands like renewing my passport, having some documents notarized and requesting for certification letter. Another thing that’s keeping me busy is of course our downloaded series. Been watching 24, Top Chef, Heroes and Prison Break (Season Break?) lately. And there’s another series that Jay-ar is convincing me to watch – Merlin. Actually it surprised me sometimes on how time flies so fast. I have scheduled some worthy things to do during this long vacation but I mostly find myself watching TV rather than doing these things. Now my worry is that this whole bumming thing could be over before I know it and I did not do anything worth my while. Well, I hope not.

Okay now it’s time to give some quick recap on the things that had transpired after I got back here in Malaysia.

January 31, 2009 – Flight back to Malaysia

February 2, 2009 – Our First Church Wedding Anniversary. Guess who received the wonderful gift below? I didn’t have gift for him though. What can I do, I am currently jobless. Darn!

February 5, 2009 – Mom and Dad’s Wedding Anniversary. Cooked pansit bihon but it was not that good. I think I put too much water to the noodles.

February 6, 2009 – Sad day as dad went back to Saudi Arabia. I will miss him so much.

February 14, 2009 – Happy V-Day! We went to Prince Court Medical Center to have 4D ultrasound (see photo and video below) then headed to Pavillion Mall to celebrate V-day (ate at pancake house and watched Valkyrie). More 4D scan photos here.

February 19, 2009 – Went to my agent’s office to extend my visa. After I get my new passport, I will be renewing my working visa here.

Today – I made a banana crepe for our dessert. I liked it.

Tomorrow – Jay-ar and I will be going to the hospital for my glucose testing.

Well I guess that’s all for now. Next weekend, we are planning to have baby shower party though it is just still a plan. Hehehe!

Bye for now!

Tiring Day

Yesterday was a very tiring day for me, my shoti and for my parents as we headed south to run some errands. We left our condo around 8 am and our first stop was the town of San Pedro, Laguna where my mom paid the real estate tax for our house there. After that, we went to Pacita to drop by the old laptop we are not using anymore to my auntie's house so it could be more useful there. Then we went to Jollibee coz my little brother wanted to have the new toys from the Jolly Kiddie Meal. So all of us ordered for Jolly Kiddie Meal so he can have all the toys available in one blow. Then we headed to the town of Binan to renew my super-dee-duper expired driver's license in LTO. Normally, one would take the whole day just to renew his driver's license in LTO Binan but since we are so lucky enough that we know someone working there, renewing my license was a bliss. As a matter of fact, only stayed there for more or less than an hour. I will just claim my renewed license next week.

Next stop is Calamba City. The hometown of my poging poging hubby. I needed to go to his house to return my mom-in-law's passport to her with the social visit stamp for Malaysia. I accompanied my mom-in-law to the Malaysian embassy last Monday to apply for a social visit so she could stay in Malaysia for 3 months. The embassy returned the passport last Thursday and I was able to return it to my mom-in-law yesterday.

Then from Calamba, we went to Laguna Belair-3 to check out the place and also interview some people there if the neighborhood is okay. So far all their comments are good. Jay-ar & I are planning to buy lots there that is why we needed to ask around about the  place. After Laguna Bel-air, we headed to Sucat to go to CrownAsia's office. My mom and dad bought a lot in Ponticelli in DaangHari and they wanted to discuss with CrownAsia the limitations and requirements if they will put perimeter fence around their lot.

And our long day did not end there. Around 6 pm, we headed to Glorietta to exchange the polo I bought in Marks & Spencer. It was really a mistake to go Makati at 6 pm, Friday and it was raining as we were caught in a heavy traffic jam. I was able to exhange the item in M&S, after all, I only bought the item the other day. It was a gift for my dad because it's his birthday tomorrow and I messed up with the size thus needed for an exchange item. So we went to M&S to change the polo size from S to M only to find out that the polo I bought the other day has already a discount if I bought it yesterday. I have paid for the whole amount when I bought it! Oh well, who says life is fair anyway! Hehehe!

After M&S, went to Seafood Seafood Market to eat dinner. I was also able to buy my sister a very cute speaker for her ipod. My dad bought a cable covering and my shoti bought a toy which took us a lot of time coz he cannot decide at first which toy to buy. Our small condo is already full of his toys and he has already almost all of the toys in the toy store yet he still wants more that is why he can't decide what toy to buy anymore.

By the time we were heading to the parking and about to go home, I had felt the pain in my feet. I can barely walk. As far as I can remember, yesterday was the most tiring day for me and I am 6 mos pregnant. I was really pushed to the limit of energy. Hehehe!

We reached home around 10 pm. All of us were sssooooo tired especially me and my dad. Me because I am pregnant and my dad coz he was the one driving. But thank God we reached our sweet home safely and we all called it a night.

I have also received a good news yesterday. Our bank loan was approved. We will use the money to acquire the lots we are planning to buy in Laguna Bel-air 3.

And that's the story of our very very tiring day. Till next!

Samu't Saring Kwento :]

As in hello lang?! Hehehe! Huwwaaat? As in like wala talaga akong natutunan! Hehehe!

Tapos bago kami umuwi, kumain muna kami ng Satay sa Kajang [Satay is parang chicken BBQ na sinasawsaw sa gravy tapos served with rice cube. Something like that. Hehehe!]. Weeeeh!!!

Pagka uwi sa bahay, nag luto lang ako ng pininyahang manok [pineapple chicken] pangbaon tapos nag meet kami ni Jay-ar sa Midvalley Megamall [may megamall din dito] to eat dinner [nag-take out ako ng mga maki sa Sushi King] pero sa C-Jade Express kami kumain ng dinner. After dinner, nag pa foot spa ako sa Dr. Soho Foot Treatment. Grabe, kakaibang foot spa to. Hehehe! Wala akong pictures e... Pero may nakita akong blog entry [with pictures] regarding dun DITO. Oh well.. Hehehe!

Kajang Satay. Masarap Sya! Pramis!

Ibang Kwento Naman.

May utang pa pala kong pictures ang post regarding sa aming Tiara Beach Resort escapades. Will post pics kapag nagka time ako. Hehehe! Ngayun, wala kasi TL ko [naka-leave or half day yata] kaya nakaka nakaw ako ng time to post. Hehehe!

Balak ko magpaalam this week.

  3. First meeting with coordinator
  4. Visit reception venue [nde pa kasi nakikita ni jay-ar]
  6. Food tasting [nde pa nakakapag food tasting si Jay-ar]
  7. Pre-nup pictorial namin
  8. Attend wedding seminar
  9. Finalize design & printing for invitation
  10. Meet with souvinir supplier
  11. Meet with the wedding band [nde ko pa sila nameet in person]
  14. Ayusin ang aming finances
  15. Meet with and bond with family and friends
Hmmm.. kaya kaya yan ng Dec19-26? E tapos pasko pa so yung iba busy-busyhan pa nyan. Haaay! Sana marami kami ma-accomplish pag uwi namin this December. So many things to do, so little time. Waaaah!!! God help us.

So anu pa ba? Hmmm... Yun lang muna ulit for now.

Oki lah... Bye bye for now! Mwah!

Ps. PASKO NA!!! Weeehhh... Lamig daw sa Pinas. Excited na ko!!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Overdue Post

But as they say, "better late than never right?"
So as I've said in my previous post, I am back in Malaysia and I just survived another week in the office. Our company has lots of chaos nowadays. And it gets worse everyday. Anyway, will just have to create another post for that because this post is dedicated for photos and my Philippines mini adventure. So here goes:

August 24: I flew back in Manila at 7:20 am. So imagine what time I was in the airport. It was so early, I had to wake up at 3 am. Anyway, I arrived at Clark Airport [airline was AirAsia] at 11:30 and I reached Manila around 3 pm [the bus from Clark Airport leaves at 12:30 pm] and I was at home about 4 pm. Basically, I spent my whole day traveling! For me, this is the bad thing about flying with AirAsia. The airport is so far from the Metro. But in spite of this, I still patronize AirAsia because of its cheap airfare. It’s also true that Cebu Pacific ‘sometimes’ has promotions. But most of the time AirAsia is cheaper than Ceb so most of the time, I fly with AirAsia. But if Ceb has promotions, I make sure that I will not let the opportunity pass. Hehehe!

When I reached home, I just ate coz I was freakin’ hungry already then after eating I go straight to All About Face at Torre Lorenzo [near De La Salle Manila] to have a relaxing facial. It had been three months since my last facial and face was already experiencing a pimple-attack.

August 25: I went to Calamba Laguna to visit my in-laws & to get some stuff/documents from Jay-ar’s house that we need for our wedding. Then mommy [mom-in-law] and I [with kuya Jeff as our driver] had a joy ride to Canlubang parishes to get some document requirements for our wedding. I was able to get jay-ar’s Birth, Baptismal and Confirmation certificates. As for my own document, I only have Birth and baptismal coz I am not yet confirmed as a Catholic. I am planning to have my confirmation here in Malaysia. I also get to see Jay-ar’s cute nephew’s, which are all litol cute rascals. Hehehe!

We bought them shoes as a present and I am glad they liked it although the shoes for his two nephews were still a bit big but that’s okay coz the shoes can wait for them. Better big than small.

August 26: This was Sunday so everybody was available to go to Laguna [our home town] to visit my first ever nephew – Baby G. We call him Baby G because his real name is Giann [and two more names]. He is such an angel and a very very cute baby. I cannot imagine that he belongs to Pau & Yeng. Hahaha! [Joke only, peace tyu!] Anyway, all I can say is that their genes are perfect for each other. [ayan ha, bawi ako!] By the way yeng, all photos are already uploaded in my Multiply site.

On this same day, after visiting baby Giann, we went to Festival Mall in Alabang. It was only mama, shobe, kuya EJ & myself went to the mall because Baby G can’t leave the house coz he’s too litol to do malling. And as you can see in the pic below, the young and the young at heart [ang bata at ang isip bata.. hahaha!] rode some stuff animal for fun.

August 27: This day was a Monday but it was a public holiday in the Philippines for the reason that I don’t remember anymore. All I know is that it was a good thing that this day was a holiday because the VLLMA met up to share their beauty to the world. (VLLM) were suppose to meet at the Beauty Bar [san pa?] in Glorietta but Louie overslept that day. Our initial plan was to eat lunch at Circles in Shangri La Makati courtesy of our big-time friend Louie. She just arrived to PH the night before so it was understandable why she was late. So the three of us [Van, Les & me] decided to wait for Louie in RedBox. Although we are in RedBox, it seemed that none of us wanted to sing because we were so busy telling stories. So we just used our private room to laugh out loud, shout, laugh again and roll over [just kidding, no one rolled over]

Louie joined us in RedBox after an hour or two. Then it was her turn to tell us her Zimbabwe escapades. We were only allowed to stay at RedBox for 3 hours so we headed to a spa for a relaxing manicure/pedicure and foot spa. It was so pampering.

Then around 6 pm, we went to Circles for a sumptuous dinner. I was so stuffed! We ate lots of seafoods, sweets, Japanese, Chinese, Indian delicacies, etc. Name it they got it. I can say that all of us were guilty of gluttony. But it was really a yummy experience. Thanks to Louie!

August 28: I went to Makati to settle some finances in BPI and PSI Bank. So again, the VLMA [this time, with A – Apple but lacking of one L - Leslie] met up for lunch. This is one of the major commonality [second to being pretty] between VILLMA – we all love to eat!

And as of this writing, Leslie is the only one who stays slim & we are actually planning on how we can make her ‘one of the rest of us’ as well... Hahaha! We ate at North Park along Ayala Avenue and we stuffed ourselves again & commit gluttony.

We still can't get enough so at night... Cafe Briton ...

August 29: I spent my whole day in the grocery to buy food that I can bring here in Malaysia. Local food here is usually spicy so whenever we go back in the Philippines, we make it a point that we bring a lot of food with us. Whether it’s a canned good, marinated meat, hotdog, tapa, etc. Even the Knorr cubes and Tamarind powder, we also bring from the Philippines because they have different spices here. Of course, we prefer the ‘lasang pinoy’ right?

This same day, I also met up with my gown tailor. & I was able to choose my motif color. Hurray! [meron na din sa wakas]. It’s pomelo & apple green. [see pic below]. The color combination reminds me of a cotton candy. The wedding will be on morning so cool colors are more advisable than darker colors, which are usually used during night. Well, that’s according to the tailor. VILLMA, I need your opinion regarding my chosen motif color.

And here is my chosen gown design:

August 30: This was my departure date. My flight was 8:50 pm so at morning, My mom & I went to Quezon avenue for some food tasting. [wala nang tigil sa pagkain!] We chose Henry’s as our wedding caterer because we have already tasted their food in the wedding of one of our friends. I hope our guests will find their food delicious as well as we did.

So that’s the ‘summary’ of my litol adventure in the Philippines with friends and families. Till next post. Ciao!

News Flash

I have lots of things to say & got lots of pictures to post but I barely have time to blog. So this will just do for the meantime.

1. I am back in Malaysia. Back to work. Back to reality. Back to being away from home. The only good thing there is I am also back in Jay-ar's arms.

2. Had fun during my short-time vacation in the Philippines. Can't get enough though. [will create a separate post, with lotsa pictures!]

3. My laptop crashed for the 1st time in history! So I reformatted it. Maybe just to remind me not to take it for granted. However, I had upgraded my RAM to 2 GIG [my laptop can now be used as a server!]... ohhh lala... Thanks to my financer, Jay-ar. Hehehe!

4. Got my hair rebonded. Thanks to Jay-ar again... My ever faithful, handsome financer. Hehehe! Again, will post pic when I get time to do it.

So I guess that's it for now. I promise to post lots of pics on the next post. Hehehe! Ciao for now!

Pinas Here I Come!

Our development server is down so I cannot do much since my testing should be done in that server. I am finished with the program already but I still need to run it to see if it's working & without a server that would be impossible. I cannot test the program locally coz It should run in a Linux environment. My TL who was suppose to fix it yesterday got lazy and said that he will do it today so while he's on it, I am here making this post.

My leave from work is already confirmed! Hurray! *Confetti* It will be on 24th-30th of this month and I can't wait to see my family & friends. Though I would be happier & more excited if Jay-ar can come with me, but he can't because he cannot take a leave just yet. Anyway, maybe next time, we can go back to the Philippines together. I only take few days off from work because my leaves are still without pay since I am still on probation. So I just have to squeeze in every plan I have in the Philippines for 7 days. That would be a challenge coz there are a lot of things that I need to settle during this short period. I need to go to Jay-ar's hometown to visit my in-laws, meet VILLMA and have a grand reunion, meet up with our wedding caterer for food tasting, meet up with the tailor for my gown, meet up with JoBarCo, quality time with my family and many other things that needs to be accomplished. Nonetheless, I am still excited coz after more that 3 months, I will be stepping my feet again on my country. You may think 3 months is such a short time and if I were not an OFW then I would say the same. But being away from home, even for just a month, makes me miss and appreciate Philippines more. And if I only have lots of money, I will still choose to settle for good in my own country. Problem is, I don’t have. =(

Several days before my long awaited short-time vacation, we will be transferring to our new permanent condo unit. (Permanent here means at least for a year). And that would have to be tomorrow. I haven’t mentioned here in my blog that we moved to another unit because there had been a problem (attitude problem) with one of our housemates (See post last 03AUG – Bitchiness Personified). So because of that, we had no choice but to find a new unit for us. Luckily, one of Jay-ar’s friends was kind enough to give us a shelter for one week. We were given only one week because the owner of the room we are staying will be arriving this coming Saturday from the Philippines. However, as of this writing and because of a very limited time we have, we haven’t found our own unit to rent. Good thing though, Jay-ar’s former colleague, also Pinoy, offered us to share her unit with us. She is currently living there alone. So as you can see, we are not in any position to pass up this kind of offer. And so we will start to move our things again in this unit this weekend. Honestly, I would prefer to rent a condo unit for us only, I mean with no housemates. But I guess, God has other plans for us. And I still consider this as a blessing because if none offered us a unit to stay, then we are faced with a major problem.

On a lighter note, I think I want to change the template of my blog. But I have to find time to do it. When everything is already settled in our new home and our Internet connection was transferred already from our old unit to our new one, then I think I can start changing my blog template. =)

As for now, I have to prepare myself for another session of packing of things and appliance lifting.

Deathly Hallows

The long wait is finally over!

My copy of the Deathly Hallows is in my hands already and I just can't wait to finish it. (Was able to get hold of it yesterday!) But I don't have any plans of finishing it in an instant... I want to take it slowly since this would be the last book of HP... Boohooohooo... I want to enjoy every chapter and feel the suspense as I come closer and closer to the end. But actually, I am still way too far from being close to the ending. Hehehe! As of this writing, I am still in Chapter 4. But it's just okay. I don't want to finish it right away. And besides, there are other things that's in my mind right now other than finishing the book. Aside from being gaga over my HP book, I am also currently addicted to Rollercoaster Tycoon game. =) I think this game is not new but I am hooked to it just now. My team leader was the one who introduced me to this game and let me borrow his installer. And now, I am getting so addicted to it. So I am in a dilemma which one should I give priority to... HP or Rollercoaster Tycoon. Hehehe! Another thing is that Jay-ar downloaded a Ghost Fighter series! We are both a big fan of the "Rei-gun" and every time he watches it, I have to stop reading the book or playing Rollercoaster Tycoon because I don't want to miss an episode. If I can just do it all at the same time...

On the Other News...

My first ever ever nephew was born last Friday! Welcome to the world Baby G! I just can't wait to see him. My sister, Yeng, told me that he looks just like my baby brother. That means they are both cute babies! I will post his picture when Yeng send me one.

Now I am really decided that I have to go home next month!

Corregidor Trip & Others :)

I call this "Farewell City"... Nice pic huh? :) This was taken from our Corregidor trip last March 25 and 26. I was with Van, Irene & Espi. Louie was not able to join us because she was and still in HK while Apple could not come because of some reasons I think she just made up. Hehehe!

Anyway, our first day in the island of Corregidor was both fun & exhausting. Included in our package trip was a guided tour in the island. We went to several places while the tourist guide explained what happened in that particular place. Then after talk, she would let us go down the bus and had some picture taking at the place. This was what we did the whole morning and a little bit of our afternoon. I think this lasted @ around 2:30 pm. Before we ate lunch, we watched the light & sound show @ the Malinta Tunnel. This was part of our package as well. However, I did not like it that much probably because this was already the 2nd time I've seen the show. Yes, this was also the 2nd time I went to Corregidor. The 1st time I've been there was with my college friends. We had a field trip in Corregidor so basically, I've done everything for the 2nd time except the overnight stay because the 1st time I've been there was just for a day tour. Anyway, I still enjoyed my stay because I was with different set of friends. :)

After the tour, we went straight to our hotel to freshen up and to rest because we were so tired from the tour. We decided also not to join the night tour. Well yes, there was also the night tour & I actually don't know the difference aside from the time. Hehehe! & I haven't got the chance to find out coz as I've said, we did not join. We just rested for the afternoon then created our own activities for the night. We went to the recreation center to eat dinner then we did some singing in the karaoke then we played billards - Espi & Irene against Van & me. Van & I won for the 1st game while Espi & Irene won the 2nd game. We could have also won the 2nd time around if it wasn't for Espi who did pretty well in the 2nd game. Hehehe! :) Corregidor @ night was really creepy. There were no street lights and you can barely see the way from the recreation center to the hotel. Lucky us, one crew from the center showed us a shortcut to the hotel and the way was also lighted. Otherwise, we could've been scared to death all the way back to the hotel.

Nothing much happened on our 2nd day. We just availed of the massage that was also included in our package (wellness package). Since only 2 masseuses were available, we went in two batches. First batch were Irene & Espi @ 9 in the morning, then Van & I @ 10 am. It was kinda relaxing but the masseuses were not as good as those who are in Metro. After the massage, we just stayed in our airconditioned room coz it was really hot outside. We checked out from our room @ 3 pm but our service transpo arrived around 4 pm to get us to the ferry terminal. We arrived @ Manila around 5 pm or so but before we part our ways and went home, we hit starbucks first for some delicious coffee... :) More Corregidor pictures here

No, I was not in HK in this photo... I was just in Roxas :)

Another story to tell ... I already tendered my resignation from Sunlife last Thursday, March 29. It's effectivity is on April 27. To tell you the truth, it's really sad for me to leave Sunlife. I like that company very much - the people, the work, the culture, the office, everything! But I have to leave. I need to be with my husband & to face new challenges in life. On the other hand, I am happy coz I will be with my Jay-ar at last! :) ... but aside from feeling happy and sad, I also feel nervous for my new job in Malaysia. I hope I can cope up easily with the kind of work they have there and that I can meet the expectations of my new boss. Or else, I might just be a housewife. Hehehe!

I forgot to give an update on what happened on our Sing-a-long night. Everything went okay aside from the fact that it did not go as planned. Hehehe! Yes, it did not go as planned but it was okay. Actually the plan was that we would have a contest. But when the program started, everybody started singing so we decided not to push through with the contest since everyone was having fun on just singing freely. :)

I loooovvveee PETER PETRELLI of Heroes! I just finished watching the last episode before they had their season break & I'm so happy coz the season will continue on April 23 (that's what I saw from the internet)! :) I like Peter's powers and also the power of Hiro Nakamura - controlling time & space - I wish I have that kind of power.

So that's all for the update. Till next time :)

Little stories to tell

Yay! Got few new graphics for my blog. Weeeh! Isn't obvious that I love graphics? Most especially those that are moving... animated that is! :) Cute cute ni tink don't you think? Hmmm... rhyming. Hehehe! Actually, I don't know why I am doing this post. I have nothing to say actually. Hahaha! Just made some slight modifications on my blog... new ones are tink and my new link list (their lives section)... Next time, i'll get my blog a tag board... can't wait!

* * *

I have some stories pala... Van & I are sooo busy preparing for our sing-a-long night. We went to Landmark a while ago to buy some stuff for the event. I already borrowed Ces' magic mic and our prizes are already on the go ... :) What we need to do now is to select the songs that we will use for our sing-a-long. I just hope everyone will enjoy the event, which is already tomorrow night, so it will all worth our effort.

* * *

On Sunday & Monday, I will be in Corregidor with Van, Irene, Espi and Apple... This is the first time we will be doing out of town ever since we met each other... - well, aside from those company activities ... hehehe! I am so excited and I just can't hide it (dunno the next line) ... Too bad Louie can't join us because she has to go to HK for some urgent work-related stuff.

I just got a word from Jay-ar that the agent from Malaysia might be holding my application for SCOPE to avoid the hassle of re-processing my VISA and the embarrassment that it can cause them to the company who initially processed my working permit. I told Jay-ar I am prepared for anything. As I've said from my previous post, SCOPE or not, I will still be working in Malaysia and that's what's important coz I will be with my Yatzy ... together again :)

Okay I guess I was able to come up with something to write about. Hahaha! Ciao ...

The pleasure of having a lot to do and not doing it.

Yesterday, I spent half of my day watching TV and another half changing my blog template despite the fact that I should have been doing my thesis and studying for my certification. But no, because of the stubborn girl that I am, I did not do any of the two rather do other things.

I told myself that I still have Sunday, which is today to do the important things. But here I am, writing this post and haven't done anything aside from blogging. Hehehe!

The looks of my blog would have been complete & satisfactory for me if I was able to change the color of my scroll bar. I've searched the internet how to do it and they give me the same code. I even checked yeng's blog and get the same code as well. It goes like this:

But sadly, it didn't work. I tried everything, which consumes a large slice of my time, but to no avail. Soon I found out that other users of blogspot were also having the same problem as me.

So I guess it's just a blogspot bug. I have also seen a site saying that change of scroll bars only works for IE 5.5 so it's really not worth the effort.

Then I realized, it's time to decide to give up. Hehehe! :)

Anyone have done it in blogspot? please email me. Would appreciate it. Thanks! :)

But I'm glad for the outcome of my blog although I admit that I am like a late bloomer, only starting blogging just now. My friends have started it 2 years ago or more. But that's okay. As they say, better late than never. :)

* * *

My internet connection is soooo slow. It's crawling actually. But our desktop does not have the same problem. I am only encountering this on my laptop coz I'm connecting thru wifi. Dunno if it's because of my connection config or anything. I dunno much about networking. I actually didn't like that subject when I took it during my masters (it was a requirement, by the way).

So I really should be doing my thesis project or else jay-ar will kill me. He's like my dad you know. Daddy & husband in one... what else do you need? Hehehe... Love you yat! (^^,)
