Race to Witch Mountain

Jay-ar & I got to watch the Race to Witch Mountain movie last weekend. I can say I enjoyed the movie although there were few parts that I did not like that much. One that I can distinctively identify was during the last part wherein the protagonists were in the spaceship and they were being shot by their enemies and the "aliens" used their extraterrestrial power to block the bullets from the gunshots. Well, I just thought that the effects were not that good. For that part, it didn't look like a Hollywood movie. But aside from that and few other minor comments, it was okay and worthwhile to watch. Go and see for yourself.

Dragonball Evolution

Tonight, Jay-ar & I watched Dragonball Evolution and it was way better than Watchmen and Chun-Li movies. At first, we were skeptical if we would like to watch the movie having been disappointed to the Chun-Li movie. So the initial plan was to watch the Race to Witch Mountain but sadly, the showing time was very late already so we ended up seeing the Dragonball movie instead. Though I don't have any regrets watching it as I liked the movie. I find it funny and enjoyable. We'll just watch the Race to Witch Mountain next week. Still anticipating for the coming up movies like Fast & Furious and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Few comments on the Dragonball movie:
Bulma's hair is not blue.
It seemed that Bulma is more conservative than Chi Chi, which is not the case in the animated counterpart.
Chi Chi always shows her cleavage, which made Jay-ar enjoyed the movie more.
Yamcha is ugly. I did not expect him to be handsome but not that ugly as well. Hehehe!
Jay-ar said he would like the movie even better if Goku is still a kid like the animated series but I think otherwise.

Well, that's all for now! Mwah!

Movies Watched

Last last weekend and last weekend, Jay-ar & I watched Street Fighter (Legend of Chun-Li) and Watchmen respectively and sad to say I did not like both movies.

For Street Fighter, I thought the story was not that good and there were characters there that I felt were not important in the story. I mean, the story will still be the same without those characters. They were really irrelevant and their purpose was just for dragging the story.

For the Watchmen, well, I can say I was really disappointed as I expected lots of actions. They were supposed to be superheroes after all. But no, to my dismay, the 2.5-hour movie was all blah blah blah. I don't usually feel sleepy in a movie not even in 3-hr trilogy Lord of the Rings but for this movie, I really wanted to doze off.

Oh well, I am not really a good movie critic so I will just stop here. Ciao!

Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth Class

Watched this tonight and I liked it. Although I liked Cars and Nemo better but it is a nice and funny movie that one should watch. Moral of the story: We should take care of Earth if we do not want to live in a spaceship and be fat! Hehe!

New Swatch Watches

* * *
We watched Hancock this last weekend but I liked WANTED more. I find the story not that amusing. I think I just anticipated for it for so long and I expected too much from it. But I can still say it's a nice movie.

Now What?

Wala lang akong maisip na magandang title so please bear with it. Hehehe! It has been almost a month now without a blog entry.
I am not busy. I will be busy next week but for last week and this week, I have a light work. Oh by the way, our project is now in Production! I'm so happy at least I can say meron na kong isang project in HP na na-rollout na... Ang saya diba. So ngayun, production support. Pero tingin ko nde gusto ng PM ko yung idea na nag prod supp lang ako. Tingin nya kasi sayang ang binabayad sakin kung mag iintay lang ako ng reported problem sa system. So I have this feeling na nag hahanap na sya ng ibang project sakin. I said I will be busy next week kasi start na ng last part ng industry testing. This time, they will do this industry testing in production environment using "controlled" live subscriber numbers. Meaning, real mobile numbers na ang gagamitin pero these numbers do not belong to real subscribers. Basta yun na yun. Hehehe!

I have a good news pala. Well, good for me. Remember I was ranting about how remote is the office location of our client where I am reporting for work? Well, guess what? Pumayag silang i-relocate ako ng office. Same client din pero this one is in different location. Our client kasi has like 5 offices yata. So now, I am located already at KL Sentral. Yeah, its a nice office location. Maraming kainan and madali pa ang transpo unlike before that I need to book for a cab every night. Ngayun, katapat na ng train station yung office ko so okay lang. But then meron pa ding catch dun. Wala pa kong permanent seat sa bago kong office. Dun muna ko sa "common" vendor area na pwede kang umupo kung san mo gs2. So dapat maaga kong papasok para nde maubusan ng upuan. Hehehe! According to my PM, this setup is temporary only. Hahanapan din daw nila ko ng permanent place. Kaya lang, this is my 2nd week here in this office and I haven't heard anything about it from them. Gs2 ko na nga follow up pero nahihiya ako. Hehehe! I'm worried kasi baka isipin nila I am so demanding. 1st demand ko is to change location then 2nd demand is this. Hehehe! But I know I need a permanent place for me. Yung vendor area kasi is for the other vendors that is not based in that office. Unlike my case, I am based na tlaga dun sa office na yun. Oh well, I know I need to make a follow up about it pero sana my PM will not take it in a negative way.

I didn't have blog entry for a long time. Bakit nga ba? Kasi walang maisulat? Hahaha! More like it. My life for the past month is so routinary. Office during weekdays then malling and watching movies every weekends. Na-bored na nga ako kaya I am asking Jay-ar na mag out of town naman kami. Kaya lang he's so busy at work. He even goes to work during weekends. Nanganganib pa kasi ang leave nya this July. We have a ticket na going back to the Philippines. Ako pinayagan na for my one-week vacation. Si Jay-ar try nya pang pilitin ang manager nya. Na-taon kasi na ang dami nilang ginagawa ngayun. Sana tlaga payagan na sya. Excited na nga kami umuwi pareho kasi 4 months na kaming nde umuuwi! As I've mentioned, puro malling and watch ng movies ang past time namin during weekends. So far, the movies that we have watched are KungFu Panda, Hulk, Doomsday and Wanted. I liked KungFu Panda, it was so hilarious. Pero ang pinaka-fave ko is yung Wanted. Sobrang astig!!! Jay-ar enjoyed it so much also. While we were watching it, I can see in his eyes na yun tlaga ang dream job nya - maging astig na assassin na pumepektus pa yung bala! Parang bowling. Hehehe!

Anu pa ba ang kwento? Well, we bought a mini-grill and this past week mejo na addict kami sa kaka-grill. Nag grill kami ng fish, shrimp and pork chop. Masarap naman lahat. I have pictures but next time ko na lang post. I guess that's all for now. Yan na lang muna ang kwento. Until the next post. Ciao!

Movies and Others

Yesterday marks my first anniversary of working here in Malaysia. O diba, naka 1 taon na ko! I was on halfday leave yesterday kasi I went to Putrajaya to get my expatriate card then I went to my agent's office to open a new bank account in CIMB and forced him to treat me and few of his colleagues for lunch. Pumayag naman sya. Half mabait, half uto-uto.. hehehe! Joke lang.

Last weekend, Jay-ar & I watched Forbidden Kingdom, which was astig and Iron Man, which was double astig. Ganda ng Iron Man. Parang Transformers. Hehehe! We also planned to watch Over Her Dead Body kaya lang nawalan kami ng time. Probably we'll see it this weekend if it is still showing. Ang tagal ko ng gustong i-post ang mga SIMS 2 activities ko dito but as I have mentioned before, I prefer playing SIMS now than blogging so I always procrastinate it. So maybe next time na lang.

Nothing much story to tell. Work is okay but I don't like it again. It's not because of the work per se but mostly due to work environment. I won't elaborate now, maybe next time. As much as possible, I want to lessen my complaining moments. I had enough of it today so I'll tell you about it next time.

Well, that's pretty much it. Laterz!!!

Mitsikoy and the Chipmunks

Last night, Jay-ar and I got to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks and I loved it! Theodore was so adorable. I remembered my niece while watching the movie because his name is also Theodore and he is as adorable as the cutie chipmunk. Scratch that, he is MORE adorable! I know it's an old movie but we were not able to watch this in the cinema and only got the chance to watch it now. Thank you MiniNova.

We are now in the UAT phase of our project in HP. Aside from supporting users in their UAT, I will also be involved in the industry testing. We will test our system together with the other network operators in the entire Malaysia. I am so nervous about this because my TL will be on leave for 3 weeks during this industry testing so I will be on my own. People will approach me if they have questions regarding the system. So if there is something I do not know, I will be in big trouble! Oh well, I just hope no major disasters will happen during those times. If I will be lucky, no minor disasters as well. Pray for me please and wish me luck. I will be needing it... badly!

Tomorrow Jay-ar and I together with some friends will go to IKEA to window shop. Hahaha! We are going to eat at IKEA's resto and treat ourselves with IKEA's very (as in very) delicious meatballs. At night, we plan to eat at Fatty Crab. Yummy! There goes my diet again. Hehehe!

One thing that keeps me occupied nowadays, aside from my super hectic job is this (special thanks to the uploaders for uploading!). I really loved this when I was a kid and even until now, am still enjoying watching it. I used to be the Sailor Mars by the way & my sister was Chibi Moon. Hehehe! I had a Sailor Moon collection before that I passed down already to my younger sister. And now, that collection is a history. My sister didn't know how to take care of a precious treasure. The collection consisted of all the Sailor Moon stuff that you can think of! I really liked Sailor Mars because our traits are somewhat alike not to mention that we are both beautiful! Hahaha! I used to have long black hair as well and I like his power of fire. Oh well, those were the days. Hehehe!

That's all for this post. Got to go now and watch Episode 11 of Sailor Moon. Ciao.

Horton Movie | LCD TV | Fish Spa | Others

Last Saturday, Jay-ar & I did 3 things.

First, we watched this...

For me, it is a funny movie. The kid in me enjoyed it. Actually at first, I was pursuading Jay-ar to watch the Spiderwick Chronicles instead. But the little boy Jay-ar really wanted to watch this movie so there. No regrets though because we both enjoyed the movie. Maybe we'll watch the Spiderwick some other time.

By the way, the moral of the story is, a person's a person, no matter how small... I think this goes to people like Mahal and Mura. Just kidding.

The second one is my favorite, we bought this!!!
32" Panasonic Viera LCD TV... Sobrang ginaganahan kami ni Jay-ar mag watch ng movies, series and other downloaded stuff. Both of us are sooo thrilled with our new TV. It is now placed perfectly in our bedroom...

And lastly, we tried the Fish Spa and I have two words for it -- SOBRANG NAKAKAKILITI!

The treatment lasted for 30 minutes and my feet only get used to it I think after 15 minutes. The fishes mob and feasted over our feet. It was like they didn't eat for year! I tell you, it tickled sooo badly and that tickling sensation lasted for 15 minutes! As in OMG. I wanted to take out my feet off the water. But if I do that then I will just throw away my RM38 payment so I kept my cool and finished the treatment. But then as I've mentioned, after 15 mins, I started enjoying the whole thing. It was a new experience and overall, I liked it despite the tickling sensation.

Below are the video clips we took during the Fish Spa treatment.

Ang here's the other one.

On the other news.

Yesterday was my 1st monthsary in HP. Woohooo! I survived my first month! Hehehe! My PM told me that these coming weeks will be hectic for us. Tomorrow is a holiday but we need to report to work. Darn it! Anyway, I can offset my overtime work but I don't think I can use it in the near future. I just wish, hope and pray that I can learn our new system ASAP and that all the workaholic people will go to hell. Hahaha!

Today is the last day of my BEA Weblogic Integration training. It started last Thursday and to be honest, I didn't find the training to be a big help for me. Simply because I have no experience using this tool so whatever the trainor was saying, I just had to accept it as it is. Unlike if I have a first hand experience using the tool, then I can relate to the things the trainor said and I can even question her and ask questions based on actual experience. I am more interested in learning all those integration tools in the real working environment than in a classroom. For me, there were only 4 good things about the training.

1. I became familiar & comfortable with BEA Workshop's GUI [This is not a big deal though as the BEA Workshop adapted the look and feel of Eclipse IDE and I have been using Eclipse before.]
2. For 5 days I reported to HP office, which is just near my place and more accessible place than our client's office location.
3. Free snacks and lunch thus no need to prepare my own lunch
4. I get to go back home early. Average is 6 pm. I now consider 6 pm early even if it is really the end of working hours!

After today, I will start to report for work again to TPM and will go back home late again! In tagalog, "tapos na maliligayang araw ko!"... Sadness.

--

I want to congratulate my sister Yeng for her new job in Honda! I know you will be successful in your career. Break a leg sister! Mwah! I love you!
--

Last night, i thought of doing some experiment for our dinner. I dunno the name of this dish since it is just an "experiment" of my creative mind. Hehehe!

Jay-ar and I both liked it. I dunno if it looks delicious in this pic but I tell you, it was delicious!

Ingridients are as follows: String beans, eggplant, carrots, buttom mushroom, onion, garlic, potato, ginisa flavor mix, oyster sauce, salt and pepper to taste. This is perfect with fried fish!

That's all for now. Jay-ar & I will be watching Jumper tonight on our new LCD TV. Hehehe! Hanggang sa muli!

Keep Moving Forward

Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious... And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

Stardust

Last night, Jay-ar & I went for a date and watched STARDUST. I lurrrrvvveeee this movie so much. I like the acting, the story, the humor, the effects and camera shots/tricks, the GHOSTS! Everything! Hehehe! If you haven't seen this movie, go and watch it, I'm sure you will also enjoy it as well as I did.

Great Movies

Last Saturday, I was able to watch Transformers with Jay-ar and the movie was really great!!! It's funny and the effects were just awesome. I love the autobots!!! =)

Today, I get to watch Die Hard 4.0, which is also I think a very nice movie. Effects and stunts were great and the story was like one of those 24 series stories.

And next Saturday, we are going to watch Harry Potter and I also feel so excited to see the movie although I have to admit that of all the Harry Potter books, the Order of the Phoenix is the one I like the least. But I have to say that I always enjoyed Harry Potter movies. I just can't wait to see it.

Dami magagandang movies ngayun... Sana laging ganito! =)
To those people who haven't watched Transformers & Die Hard, I really recommend that you guys go and see these movies. You will never regret it! Pwomise! =)

As of this writing, Jay-ar & I are in cold war... Honestly, sometimes, he can really be such a pain in the ass! Hay naku tlaga!
And just to note, I am removing tinker bell from my graphics on the left side. Tingin ko kc crowded na masyado tong blog ko... Hehehe!
