Sick Leave

I still remember when I was still with Sunlife. Kapag nag si-sick leave ang mga tao dun, nde na kailangan ng medical certificate. Basta tatawag na lang ako kay Ces (boss ko) dati then sasabihin ko... masama pakiramdam ko then okay na yun. Sick leave na yun. We used to joke about it. Some people kasi, nag sasakit sakitan lang. Para lang magamit yung sick leave. Then a friend of mine made a justification about it. She said, I am SICK and tired of work so I took a sick leave. Hmmm... i thought she really had a point there.

And guess what?! I am on sick leave today. You read it right. Nasa bahay lang ako buong araw. Kasi may sakit ako kahapon pero okay na ko ngayun. So nag punta ako sa clinic last night to get some medicines and to get a medical certificate para ma credit yung leave ko from my sick leaves at makapag pahinga na din ngayun. Super dami ng medicines na binigay nila sakin! Meron for colds, fever, pain reliever, for sore throat and may anti-biotic pa. Buti na lang walang bayad. Hehehe! But as I've said okay na me ngayun. Actually, colds lang naman sakit ko. Mejo pinalala ko lang sa pamamagitan ng pag-arte. Hehehe! They bought it kaya eto bahay lang ako. Hahaha! Pero kidding aside, sabi sakin ng doctor may slight fever daw ako when she checked me up & I had a terrible headache due to colds. Buti na lang din hindi hectic ang trabaho ko. Nsa planning stage pa lang kasi kami ng isang major project & guess what again?! Ako ang gumagawa ng estimates! Waaah! Of all the things in project management, yun tlaga ang pinaka ayaw ko gawin at wala tlaga akong talent sa pag bibigay ng estimates noh! Ewan ko ba kung bat napaka irresponsible nung TL namin kasi naman, he should be the one doing that tapos sakin nya pa na-assign. Ay naku! Bahala na si batman.

Anyway... can you see the picture below? Well... another mini project ko ulit yan sa photoshop. Hehe! Ang babaw ko pero I am happy whenever I learn something new, even the smallest of things from photoshop. Ngayun, ang bago ko na namang trick na natutunan is to change the background color of a picture... See si sadako este ako lang ang colored dito sa picture na to. Yung background ko is color gray. O diba... Hehehe! Babaw ko noh... Another thing pa pala... Sa original picture maayus tlaga ang hair ko pero dito kita nyo naman ang gulo gulo na... Galing tlaga ang photoshop! Buy nyo? Hehehe!
Ayun lang... Wala naman tlaga me sasabihin kundi i-post lang na naka leave ako ngayun. Oo noh! Kailangan mai-post yun kasi first time in my FCS history na nag leave ako... Sayang, nde ko pa nalampasan ang 6 months bago mag leave. Hihihi! Oki lang din naman mag leave me kasi my blessing ako ng TL ko. Sabi nya sakin kahapon, mag leave na daw ako kasi naririnig nya ang mga singhot at ubo ko na tlaga naman ine-exag ko. Hahaha! Joke... Masama tlaga pakiramdam ko kahapon kasi naman 1 week ng nag uu-ulan dito. So ayun lang... Babush!

Just Around Bukit Bintang

I mentioned in one of my previous posts that my friend Eileen also known as SJ will be visiting Malaysia last week. Here are some of our photos. Sadly though nde natuloy ang plan namin na mag Genting at mag Aquaria kasi they have a packaged tour so wala kami time mag meet kundi sa gabi lang. So siguro next time na lang... But even though nde kami sa Genting nag punta, I still enjoyed her company.

Then after eating, nag libot libot na lang then shopping around Bukit Bintang. Our last stop was Baskin&Robins in a newly opened mall, Pavillion.
The next day, Jay-ar and I tried a new resto in Times Square. We ate at Gasoline. Kakaiba syang kainan. Ang concept nya is parang Bed Space pero eto nde sya bed. Naka upo lang sa sahig parang Japanese style. The food was also good and hindi sya masyadong mahal. Medyo lang. Hehehe! See photos below.

Bad News

I received a bad news today. My best buddy in our company will be resigning this week. I think she will file her resignation letter this coming Friday. I feel so sad about this news. She's the best girl friend I have in our company. But at the same time, I am also happy for her. I wish her luck in this new chapter of her life. It's good thing though, there will be other Pinoys who will be based in our KL office. Puro guys nga lang.

Today is...

Wow! The baby is now a 14-year-old baby. Hehehe! Para sakin, baby ka pa din shobs. Kahit na marami ng nanliligaw sayu and kahit na you fantasize anime drawings. Hehe! Ikaw pa din ang shobe namin na we always tease about having lots of anime husbands which is too many to mention and you are still the shobe that has this dedma-shield especially kapag nag start ng sumara ang mundo mo at inaatake ka na ng pagiging autistic mo... Haha! You are still the shobe na sinasamba ang Japan at lahat ng bagay sa Japan. You are still the shobe na very creative and artistic. You will always be the shobe na mababaw ang kaligayahan. Hehehe! At ikaw pa din ang shobe namin na a.ka. Danni, Jaja at Mashea. Higit sa lahat ikaw pa din si Shobe na love na love namin kasi you will always be our baby girl no matter what. *Awwww* hehehe! I love you shobe! Mwah!

Rants Rants Rants

Bored ako sa trabaho ko ngayun. Hindi ako na cha-challenge sa mga pinagagawang trabaho dito. Hahaha! Yabang! Pero honestly, mas challenging pa ang pakikisama sa tao dito kesa sa trabaho. Super mapulitika ang mga tao dito at ang pa-plastik grabe. Pero I look at the bright side, this is my introduction sa kumpanya na nde masyadong okay ang kultura. Naranasan ko na daw kasi ang kumpanya na okay sa kultura, it's time for me to see the other side of corporate world. Nakaka culture shock tlga. But I think politics sa isang kumpanya ay di talaga maiiwasan. Depende na lang yan kung ganu kalala. Yung ka-team ko na anaps uber mamulitika. Grabe! Nagkaka-bad impression na nga ako sa mga anaps dahil sa kanya e. Hehehe! Sya ang uber sa yabang, uber sa daldal, uber sa lahat. Eto ang sample ng mga yabang nya:

• Nag shopping daw sya isang beses sa isang buwan. At sabi nya sakin sa isang shopping nya daw RM5k ang nagagastos nya! Equivalent lang naman yun sa 65,000 pesos.
• Sabi nya ikakasal daw sya sa isang taon. A month after lang ng kasal ko at 1,000 bisita daw ang invited nya. Ang galing, tlagang saktong 1,000 noh! Nabilang nya pa yun! Hahaha!
• Sabi nya 2 years ago may binili daw syang BMW idi-deliver na lang daw sa kanya. Sabi nya din yan 1 year ago at yan pa din ang sinasabi nya hanggang ngayun, wala pa din.
• Anim na taon na daw syang nagja-Java. At gumagawa pa daw sya ng mga kumplikadong sistema gamit ang Java. Nung one time nag try sya mag download ng Java code sa Internet. Nde nya mapagana. Sakin nya pa pina debug. Alam nyo error? Case-sensitive variables. Hay naku! Kung mejo malakas lang ako mang-alaska, tinanong ko yung, "akala ko ba anim na taon ka ng nag ja-Java?"... hahaha!
• Lahat ng tao sa office sinasabihan nya ng "useless" kapag nde nakaharap yung tao na yun. At walang pinalalampas ha. Pati ako kasama dun. Lahat ng tao sa kanya useless, sya lang ang pinaka useful na tao sa company namin.
• Galing daw sya sa mayamang pamilya. Lahat daw ng yaman ng pamilya nila sa kanya mapupunta kasi sya ang panganay na anak na lalaki at ang tatay nya daw may chedeng. Pero kung ganun, bakit kahit ang layu layu pa ng sweldo tanung na sya agad ng tanung kung kelan ma-credit yung salary namin. Hehe!

Ay naku, ilan lang yan sa napaka daming kayabangan ng tao na yun. Marami nga din naiinis sa kanya sa office dahil sya attitude nya. E since plastikan nga sa office, pinaplastik na lang sya ng mga tao. Hehe! At eto pa, super backstabber ang drama ng lolo mo. Okay kayu pag kaharap mo sya pero pagiba na kaharap nya, ayun wala ka ng kalaban laban sa mga masasamang sinasabi nya tungkol sayu. Wala syang pinalalampas. Pati mga bossing bina-backstab nya. Super sipsip pag kaharap nya ang mga bossing, tapos pag kami na lang kaharap nya, kesyo walang wenta daw yung bossing na yun, bobo na bossing daw, etc. etc. Mejo kakaibang ugali to para sa lalaki dba? Bihira lang ang kakilala ko na ma chismis na lalaki and for the record, sya ang pinaka chismosong tao na na nakilala ko sa buong buhay ko. Sabi nga nung isa kong officemate, "an empty vessel is the one that creates more noise and he is that empty vessel"... sooooo TRUE! I agree 100%.

Hay naku! Buhay empleyado nga naman, puno ng kulay at chismis. Hahaha! Anyhoo, tama na nga about him. Tama nang nailabas ko ang tunay kong damdamin para sa kanya. Hehe!


On the other news.

I am sooo excited. This coming Friday, my college friend, Eileen will pay me a visit here in Malaysia. Wooohooo! Maybe we can go to AQUARIA or Genting Highlands. Hmmm... we really have to plan because we only have limited time since she will be staying here for 2 days only then she will be heading to Singapore. Too bad I cannot join her to SG due to my work. Anyway, I hope her visit to Malaysia will be as enjoyable as possible. I am really excited & happy about her visit because after 5 plus months of staying here in Malaysia, this is the first time I will have a visitor from the Philippines. Hehehe! Another month to look forward to is January next year because my family will be visiting us that month.

Last last week we had a small get together dinner with other Pinoys here. Everyone will bring his or her own food contribution for the dinner. Jay-ar & I decided to contribute...... SPAGHETTI! That was my first time to cook spaghetti and well, I became too confident in cooking coz modesty aside, all the dishes that I tried to cook for the first time went well and tasted good. Call it beginner's luck, I don't care as long as it tasted good. And yeah, I did not look at it that way so I thought to myself, I was a born cook. Until this incident happened. At first everything was perfect, I had the all the ingredients I need and everything was well prepared. I was just planning of cooking the ordinary pinoy spaghetti since that was my first time. When I was still cooking the sauce, it tasted okay but when I mixed it with the pasta, the taste of the sauce was gone! I dunno what happened. Maybe I it needed a little more salt or whatever. But when I was still cooking the sauce, the taste was just right. Oh well, lets just see what will happen on my second attempt. But even though my first spaghetti didn't go well, I was able to cook a very nice Ginataang Kalabasa at Paksiw na Pata. Jay-ar gives me his full support in whatever dish I am trying to cook. Whether it taste good or not so good, he will always tell me that it tastes delicious so that I will still have confidence when it comes to cooking. Hehehe!

'Nuf about story telling. Now I am going to post my second basic project in Photoshop. Hope next time I can post more complicated Photoshop tricks. Hahaha! That means, I hope to continue learning Photoshop.
